BONi M122 over OPI Black Onyx Swatches and Review

Image

Hi guys! Yesterday I was bored and wanted to paint my nails. Yesterday I also received my very first nail mail package all the way from Germany, I’ll make a post about that later. My nail mail buddy was really nice and sent me a really pretty bottle of Essence nail art special effects topper. I don’t know which polish to choose so I painted my nails black using OPI Onyx, and because of that Essence special effects topper, I decided I want to add a layer of glitter polish over it. I decided to go with BONi M122:ImageImageImageImageImage

ImageFor this mani, I applied 2 layers of OPI Onyx, then 2 layers of BONi M122. I didn’t add topcoat because I was afraid it will be too thick.

I love this combo! It reminds me a bit of Deborah Lippmann’s Happy Birthday, however I don’t think its a dupe. The BONi M122 polish has larger glitters and more color compared to DL’s Happy Birthday. BONi M122 has light blue, green, pink, red and yellow glitter, with small red, yellow, pink and green circle-shaped glitters in clear base. Deborah Lippmann’s Happy Birthday does not have light blue, yellow or pink glitters. You can clearly see this in the macro shot of the BONi M122 bottle below:

The BONi M122 polish applied nicely, but just like many other glitter polishes, I had to push the glitter around with the brush in order to have a overall coverage on the nail plate. The glitter didn’t dry very smooth though. I believe this is a polish from Korea… one of my favorites!
